Monday: Read Matthew 4:18-22
What images do we see here in Matthew’s Gospel? What does it mean for us to be fishers of people? Spend some time reflecting on this passage and see what God shares with you today.

Tuesday: Read Matthew 4:23-25
What does Jesus do here in Matthew Chapter 4? How did Jesus proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God? Read this passage a few times today and see what you learn from the life of Jesus, and how he brought the message of the kingdom of God to the world and those in need.

Wednesday: Read Matthew 5:1-12
This passage is known as the Beatitudes. What does Jesus teach us here? Are there any parts of the Beatitudes that surprised you? Any verses that were challenging? Read the Beatitudes again slowly and see what Jesus is teaching you through them.

Thursday: Read Matthew 5:1-16
In this Scripture passage, Jesus says that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. What does that mean to you? As followers of Christ, what does Jesus expect from us? Spend some time in prayer today asking God how you can be the true salt of the earth and Christ’s light within this world.

Friday:
This week we looked at some teachings of Jesus. What did you learn from Jesus this week? What is Jesus calling you to do in this world for his kingdom? Spend some time today in prayer drawing closer to Jesus, our teacher and our Lord, and listen for his voice today.
