My name is Jordan Brookes and I am very excited to be working with the staff and students at Hope Community Preschool in the 3’s classroom. I am originally from Florida and earned my B.A. in Theater & Arts at Stetson University. I received my education certification through American University and I’m continuing to work towards my Master’s degree in education and arts. I was an Art teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools for 10 years and prior to that I was the lead teacher for Smithsonian’s Pre-School Museum Emersion program. I also taught the Kindergarten compliment programs for Westbrook and Wood Acres in Montgomery County for 2 years, and I lead taught the pre-school summer program for National Child Research Center in Washington DC.
I live in Ijamsville, Md. with my husband Dave and out two wonderful sons Will, 10 and Chris, 9. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, travel, yoga, cooking, and exploring our areas inspiring art galleries and museums.
I started working for Hope in January of 2013 and I am very excited about the upcoming school year and getting to know all of my new friends and their families. Let’s have a wonderful year!
