My name is Shannon Eagen. I am grateful to have the opportunity to teach in the 4's classroom and to be a part of the HOPE Community Preschool family. I come to HOPE with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood from the State University of New York College at Fredonia. I attained my Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from the State University of New York College at Cortland. My husband and I are originally from Buffalo, New York and I taught for three years in upstate New York before we moved to Maryland for my husband’s job. Then I taught in Frederick County for three years before staying home with our three children, Brynne, Brent, and Brielle. During that time I have taught Kindergarten, third, and fourth grades, tutored children in various grade levels, wrote curriculum, and was an assistant coach for middle and high school track. I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy triathlons. You can find me swimming in the lake and local pools, and biking and running around the Frederick area.
